Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Daycare Provider. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. Your primary focus will be on the well-being and development of each child, ensuring they have a positive experience while at daycare. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in facilities maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep of the daycare environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare facility through regular commercial cleaning and custodial tasks.
- Perform facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure a safe environment for children.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper hygiene practices are followed during feeding times.
- Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures to protect the health and safety of all children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas needing attention, including floor care and buffing as necessary.
- Support children in developing social skills through guided play and structured activities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in facilities maintenance, commercial cleaning, residential painting, floor care, and industrial cleaning are highly desirable.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment while ensuring safety standards are met.
- Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by the daycare schedule.
- Must pass background checks as required by state regulations.
