Job Title: Laundry Attendant/Laundry Technician (Floater)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Part-time 15-25hrs per week

Summary:
The laundry attendant is responsible for washing, drying and folding clothes, linens, and various client products. The laundry attendant assists with maintaining the laundry facilities to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation. The laundry attendant will assist customers with questions and supplies as needed. The attendant assist with the business’s operations by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold laundry and other textile items *Load and unload laundry into and out of washing machines and dryers *Load the appropriate amount and type of detergent soap, or other solutions *Clean and maintain equipment, and communicates any maintenance or issues to appropriate person(s) *Provide exceptional customer service to individuals using machines or inquiring of assistance or services. *Keep track of laundry and client products *Conduct light cleaning of facility to maintain its cleanliness and ensure appropriate sanitation *Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
High School or equivalent completion, or in process.

Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to reach with arms and hands, stand, walk, and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
This position works in a typical laundromat and laundry cleaning service environment which includes daily interaction with diverse customers and staff. Position stands for extended periods of time. Position makes frequent gross motor and fine motor skills movement including bending, stretching, extending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, eye/hand/foot coordination and lifting. Position utilizes visual and auditory memory and discrimination, reads and writes, must use judgment and make simple and complex decisions.
