The Resort at Longboat Key Club is a luxurious beachfront resort and private club located in Longboat Key, Florida. With stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico, our resort offers a variety of amenities and activities for our guests to enjoy.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Housekeeping to join our team. As the Director of Housekeeping, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping department at our condominium resort and private club. You will lead a team of housekeeping staff in providing exceptional cleanliness and service to our guests and members.
- Provide strong leadership that supports a team environment, fostering good morale, passion, quality, and respect
- Develop and maintain housekeeping procedures and standards
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas
- Hire, train and supervise housekeeping staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Manage the inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment
- Handle guest requests and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Understands the importance of department’s operation on the overall property financial goals and educates staff on details as appropriate
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in housekeeping
- Ability to directly supervise 60+ staff members
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of housekeeping best practices and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Bi-lingual
- Experience with Condominium cleaning standards a plus
