Position Summary: Responsible for the daily cleaning operations of the Safe Campus, including the transportation, supplies, facility maintenance and cleanliness
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspects Safe Campus area to ensure and maintain clean and safe working areas.
- Cleans hallways, bathrooms and front lobby area.
- Assists with kitchen and Food Bank orders.
- Cleans and prepare shelter rooms for new residents.
- Monitors and maintain agency food pantry, hygiene closet and storage areas.
- Assists with room set-ups for meetings, including furniture set-up, drink set-up and other supplies as needed.
- Assists clients with clothing and personal hygiene needs, i.e. shampoo, diapers, toothbrushes, etc.
- Performs periodic inventory counts of various resource center storage areas and replenish as needed, keeping a detailed list of usage of supplies.
- Provides support and call maintenance when necessary on all Safe Campus support systems, i.e. security, telephone, water, HVAC, kitchen equipment, etc.
- Washes kitchen laundry once a week.
- Exhibits courteous behavior with donors, clients, customers and volunteers.
- Orders cleaning supplies as needed.
- Assists in monitoring the building to ensure client/employee safety.
- Observes and reports any maintenance issues.
Other Duties:
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and a minimum six months related housekeeping experience.
Licenses And Certifications:
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and clear driving record

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information.
- knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods.

Mental And Physical Abilities:
Performs physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials; performs unpleasant tasks, including emptying trash cans, cleaning toilets and cleaning up spills and other messes. Duties are usually performed while standing with occasional periods of sitting. Moderate physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (up to 50 pounds).
Working Conditions:
Work may be performed, but is not limited to an office environment. Ability to work some weekends and evening hours for special projects.
