Position Summary
The Environmental Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at environmental, construction and demotion sites. Responsibilities may include such things as site clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general maintenance and other related duties:
Principal Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently perform assigned responsibilities to include such duties as:
- Clean track on track type and related equipment
- Ensure assigned responsibilities are comleted in an effiecient and safe manner.
- Adhere to work schedule and able to adapt to challenges as they arise.
- Be able to travel and assist with out-of-town work travel as required.
- Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pick up
- Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, trimming equipment, etc.
- Tank cleaning, pipe laying, manual demolition, dust control, small tool operation, compaction, site security, and hand excavation.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs and janitorial work.
- Direct traffic at the site as necessary
- Assist with Emergency Response duties as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations. Acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers. Must possess a sense of honesty and trustworthiness.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
- Excellent follow-through. Ability to adhere to work schedule and able to adapt to challenges as they arise.
- Ability to adhere to company policies and rules and safety standards.
- Able to demonstrate pride and ownership in performing daily tasks. Strives to achieve company goals.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
