Job Summary
The Vintage 1847 Restaurant at Stone Hill Winery is seeking a prep cook to help our kitchen run efficiently and support our cooking staff. This is an entry-level, part-time position where you’ll be invaluable in making sure our kitchen is always flowing safely and effectively.
Prep Cooks perform various food preparation, cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons. If you think you’ll enjoy the buzz of a busy kitchen, we’d like to meet you.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- · Completing all tasks according to instruction from the Head Chef
- · Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves
- · Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and meats
- · Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
- · Following recipes thoroughly
- · Cleaning counters and work areas, taking out the trash and sanitizing kitchen
- · Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- · A fast learner with an interest in kitchen work
- · The ability to stand for long hours
- · Ability to adhere to health and safety rules
- · Good organizational skills
- · Work unsupervised in a busy environment
