General Summary
Under the supervision of the Chef & Sous Chef, this position is responsible for performing proficiently in multiple types of skilled culinary work: such as washing different types of items, general cleaning practices, ensuring that the kitchen is clean and up to health standards etc. This position performs at a high level of expertise in all aspects of general kitchen work; maintains all duties assigned by the food and beverage manager.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Adhere to all local health and safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of food operations.
- Provide service to our guests.
- Clean dishes in timely manner.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
- Should be at least 16 years of age.
- Be able to read and understand English.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pay attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently for short periods of time.
- Must be dependable and punctual with transportation to and from work.
- Must have a clean uniform and professional uniform.
- Must work well with teammates.
Working Environment/Physical Activities
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
- Must be able to work at indoor and outdoor temperatures, with extreme heat & cold.
- Environmental conditions encountered will include noise, fumes, odors, and dust.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the restaurant industry preferred.
- Food service license preferred.
