Summary
Our dishwashing team is the heart of the Food and Beverage operation and helps make it possible for the cooks, servers and managers to do their job. They play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dish, receiving, and storage areas by ensuring a clean, safe and organized work space for all.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure work areas are kept clean at all times.
- Perform opening and closing responsibilities in a timely and detailed manner.
- Restock and prepare supplies for shift change or close.
- Wash dishes, glassware and service ware through automatic dish machine following proper procedures.
- Wash cookware and presentation ware following proper procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized shelves for all BOH small wares.
- Organize and store all dishes, silverware, glassware, service ware, cookware and presentation ware in proper locations.
- Maintain dish machine through proper daily cleaning, set up and breakdown as well as periodic descaling.
- Empty trash as needed throughout kitchen facility.
- Sweep and clean floors using correct procedures whenever needed.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning projects according to railroad cleaning list (stainless equipment, walls, floors etc.).
- Assist other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
- Hold self to a higher standard, being a role model at all times.
- Work with a high sense of urgency at all times.
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Ensure all state department of health rules and regulations are followed.
- Perform other tasks as directed.

Education And/Or Experience
- 1 year work experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Language Skills
Ability to comprehend and communicate either verbal in English and non-verbal methods. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English and respond in writing.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
