Job Summary: Properly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, glassware, utensils and pots. Responsible for maintaining the dish room area, floors and the dish machine in a clean and sanitary condition. Assists with the cleaning of other areas of the restaurant as requested.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operates dish machines to company and manufacturer specifications.
- Uses proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer in the dish machine and the pot washing sinks.
- Adds salt to the water softener as needed.
- Restocks all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Removes garbage, cardboard boxes, cleans and sanitizes garbage cans as needed.
- Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes the dish machine at the end of a shift.
- Keeps dish and other storage areas clean and organized.
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef or Sous Chef
