Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently and take initiative in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facility. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.
Duties:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, kitchen areas, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
- Assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, such as buffing and waxing, is a plus
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks is beneficial
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
