Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Maintenance worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, performing various janitorial and maintenance tasks in different settings.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain designated areas using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment
- Perform general janitorial duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow proper safety procedures
- Assist with trash removal and waste management
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or fixing minor repairs
- Support facility operations by ensuring all areas are well-maintained
- Perform floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing floors
Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial cleaning, industrial cleaning, or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and experience with buffing equipment
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with residential painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when necessary
