The Boat Detailer/Washer is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of boats, ensuring they are in pristine condition for customers. This role plays a vital part in enhancing customer satisfaction and preserving the quality of our boats.
Responsibilities:
- Boat Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and wash the exterior and interior of boats, including hulls, decks, cabins, and all onboard equipment.
- Surface Polishing: Apply polishes, waxes, and protective coatings to maintain and enhance the boat's appearance.
- Stain Removal: Remove stains, dirt, and debris from boat surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Interior Cleaning: Vacuum, dust, and clean the interior of boats, including upholstery, carpets, and hard surfaces.
- Glass and Window Cleaning: Clean and polish windows, hatches, and portholes for a clear and unobstructed view.
- Metal Polishing: Polish metal surfaces, such as stainless steel, aluminum, and brass, to a high shine.
- Canvas and Fabric Care: Clean and treat canvas covers and fabric upholstery to maintain their appearance and durability.
- Teak Maintenance: Clean, sand, and oil teak wood surfaces to preserve their natural beauty.
- Inventory and Supplies: Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly maintain and clean all cleaning equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to high standards.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally and address any specific cleaning requests or concerns.
- Environmental Compliance: Ensure that cleaning chemicals and waste disposal comply with environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in boat detailing or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of boat cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Safety-conscious mindset and knowledge of safety procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing cleaning products and techniques.

Position Type:
