Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating
- Help with food presentation and plating
- Work efficiently during peak hours to ensure timely delivery of dishes
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Follow menu planning and dietary department guidelines to accommodate special requests and dietary restrictions
- Participate in kitchen cleaning and sanitizing duties
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a welcoming dining atmosphere
Skills:
- Experience in the kitchen or food industry
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in menu planning and food presentation
- Familiarity with dietary department guidelines and special requests pertaining to allergens
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as stand for long periods
- Friendly and helpful demeanor
- Team-oriented and willing to assist other kitchen staff as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
