We are an established neighborhood bar with a great team and band of regulars already in place. We're seeking a Bar Manager that is excited about bringing their experience in to uphold standards, bring a positive attitude, support the staff, grow our current beer program, curate a cocktail program and continue to grow our bar.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and manage all areas of the bar
- Respond immediately and effectively to guest and employee needs and feedback
- Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy
- Weekly Inventory & order placements of all FOH supplies: liquor, beer, wine, linen, paper goods, cleaning supplies, general restaurant supplies etc.
- Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Work closely with the Kitchen Manager on BOH/FOH communication and menus. (the current KM has been with us for 9 years and handles staffing, inventory, orders & menu curating. We just need someone to have good and open communication with them.)
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs.
- Responsible for ensuring that all administrative duties are completed accurately and on time. (invoices, reporting, payroll, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances
- Assist Operations team in managing costs, driving sales and growing the business in support of financial goals
- Recruit, interview, and oversee training of new employees.
- Identify, address and document individual employee performance problems. Discipline and/or terminate as necessary
- Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed appropriately for all shifts
- Plan and execute monthly promotional events
- Lead by example. Maintain a positive, pleasant attitude every shift
- Maintain basic bar and building maintenance.
Schedule/ Weekly Hours 45ish (Candidates must be flexible and willing to work outside of their scheduled hours to cover holidays, special events, or to meet staffing needs during peak times)
Days off: Sunday/Mondays or Mondays & Tuesdays
- Wednesdays: 10am-7pm
- Thursday: 10am-7pm
- Friday: 3pm-12m
- Saturday: 3pm-12m
- Sunday: 12pm-8pm OR Tuesdays 2pm-10pm

What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of high volume bar/restaurant experience
- Serving and bartending experience
- Basset certified
- ServSafe Manager and Allergen certified
- Strong communication & organizational skills
- Advanced beer, wine, and spirits knowledge
