Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team flower shop. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting flowers and products to various locations. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
We are looking for a delivery driver / shop helper / warehouse organizer.
We are a very busy, production style shop who offers deliveries six days a week. Driver delivers finished floral arrangements and plants from shop to homes, businesses, hospitals, etc within Manatee and Sarasota area and surrounding areas in our shop Van vehicle. As well as pick up and transport of fresh flowers and hard goods from wholesalers.
Tasks include:
Delivery of arrangements and plants in a timely manner
Confirm deliveries in delivery software. Use company Iphone to route and call cuatomers. Job involves use of smartphone and computers.
Pick up of fresh flowers and hard goods from vendors when needed
Processing and cleaning of flowers occasionally to help if needed
Shop clean up if needed
Organizing and maintenance of warehouse space including inventory of hard goods if needed
Washing and vacuuming of delivery vehicle if needed
Delivery and set up help for events when needed
General shop tasks
Job Requirements:
Neat, organized, courteous and on time
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Clean Driving record is a must.
Capable of carrying 40+ lbs. (This position has some physical demanding aspects)
Must be available during major holidays (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving week (Thanksgiving day is off, on Christmas eve day (Christmas Day OFF) .) and weekends (Saturdays (8:30-12:30PM). Some holidays we are closed.
Usual start time 9 am and shift can run 4-8 hrs depending on day of week and how busy it is. Some flexibility to accommodate a school schedule or other part time job. Depending on the applicant, this could be a part time or full time position.

Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of vehicles of vans and refrigerated trailers during holidays
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner via phone and n person
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role driving a vehicle
- Ability to drive commercial vans
- Familiarity with route driving and navigating using GPS systems
- Knowledge in flower operations and procedures is a plus
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
