The Town of Brewster is currently seeking applicants for a dedicated Custodian to join our team. This position is responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of town buildings and grounds. Duties include, but are not limited to cleaning of restrooms, offices, and buildings to include dusting, vacuuming, cleaning glass, and washing floors; disposal of trash and recycling throughout the buildings. Prepares various conference rooms for events and meetings; assists with snow & ice removal to ensure safe access to buildings and secures buildings at end of work shift.
High School diploma required and a minimum of 1 year experience in the maintenance of buildings preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
This is a full time 40 hour a week position, covered under the SEIU union agreement, with a starting pay rate of $24.92 - $27.23 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience; evenings required.
