DETAILER & PORTER
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Detailer and Porter cleans and refurbishes automobiles and is responsible for the care and transportation of customer vehicles on and off the premises. In accordance with the driving laws, shop, and manufacturer specifications and time allowances for the task.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Use of machine buffer/polisher for paint reconditioning
- Wash vehicle exterior, clean interior and exterior windows and wipe down doorjambs
- Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or cuts/buffs surface
- Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris
- Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces, using approved and appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning device
- Inspects vehicles for damage and report any issues to management
- Driving vehicles on and off the premises
- Other assigned duties
EXPERIENCE
- 1-3 months related experience recommended (not required)
- High school diploma/GED
- Excellent driving and parking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Organizational skills
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
- Driver’s License (mandatory)
JOB TYPE & DESCRIPTION
- Monday – Friday (8 hours per day, overtime available)
SALARY
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
