Uptown Cleaning Crew is one of the area’s highest recommended and fastest growing house cleaning services. We specialize in the deep clean and providing guests with a unique and unforgettable experience each time we embrace their home.
We are now hiring experienced and energetic house cleaners to join our crew of detailing professionals! In this role you will work closely with members of our cleaning crew to carry out various cleaning tasks, provide our clients with an exceptional custom clean catered to their home, all while following our company’s cleaning steps, systems, and checklists and implementing our company’s vision, mission and values. You will be responsible for fulfilling each clients cleaning requests outlined in each custom cleaning package. Additionally, you will be using industry leading cleaning equipment and solutions such as industrial carpet cleaners, high temperature steam cleaners, high dusters, vacuum cleaners, spin mops, wood polish, and more.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Job duties for this role, consist of but are not limited to:
- Be knowledgeable on how to properly use cleaning agents and equipment
- Clean and sanitize all countertop surfaces
- Vacuum, sweep, and or mop all floors including hard and carpeted surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize toilets, tubs, sinks, and showers
- Carrying cleaning equipment up and down stairs
- Clean under beds and furniture,
- Deeper cleanings or add-on commissioned cleanings you may be required to carry out tasks such as clean walls, baseboards, ovens, refrigerators, wash dishes, or fold clean clothes, organize closets and or cabinets, carpet cleaning/ shampooing, wood polishing, etc.
- Maintain a clean uniform
- Maintain clean and functional equipment and supplies
- Clearly communicate needs to management
- Show up to job sites 10-15 minutes before appointment time. Be prepared with the needed supplies for the specific cleaning package.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with assigned clients and teammates
- Follow cleaning checklists for various cleaning packages
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment by coming to work prepared and carrying yourself professionally. Always

Day to Day Expectations: Each day as a member of our cleaning crew it is expected to arrive to appointments 10-15 minutes before scheduled time, with a clean uniform, and all the supplies needed to complete the cleaning tasks for the day. The house cleaner will be responsible for maintaining clean rags, uniform, and equipment by refreshing and washing them on their own. The cleaner will be responsible for refilling cleaning caddy supplies as needed to ensure they are equipped and prepared to perform at their highest capability for each job.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- At least 1 year of house cleaning experience
- Strong professionalism and work ethic
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong self management skills
- High integrity to meet company standards and follow company cleaning steps and procedures
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to organize and complete cleaning tasks in a timely manner
- Basic knowledge on how to use cleaning equipment (i.e., broom, mop, microfiber cloth, etc.)
- High emotional intelligence and willingness to learn and grow and take healthy criticism and correction.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years of cleaning experience required
Must pass a background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs
- Can easily travel up and down stairs
- Can bend at the hips and knees repetitively with ease
- Can lift arms above head for prolonged periods
- Comfortable on hands and knees (knee pads and comfort pads available as needed)
- Prolonged periods of standing or bending
Interview/ Hiring Process: If chosen to move forward for an official interview you will be contacted by phone call and or email to set up your first interview as part of our 2-step interview process. If moved forward past the 2nd interview you will be required to pass a drug test and background check and provide 2 professional references as part of the hiring onboarding process. This position starts off as part-time with potential to be full-time with a developed client book.
