Facility Maintenance Technician Tampa Florida
The Facility Maintenance Technician position requires a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Hospitality restaurant maintenance experience is preferred.
Customer Service and providing an outstanding customer experience is a must.
The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for mechanical and facilities systems.
The candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Typical Work start time is 4AM
The Facilities Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Director of Facilities and provides facility support for routine and preventative maintenance actions inclusive but not limited to the following:
- Equipment repairs associated with Commercial Kitchen equipment, such as Grills, Ovens, cookers and support including basic diagnostics of a variety of restaurant equipment. To include parts replacement, basic troubleshooting to effect minor repairs or to escalate to the Director of Facilities or 3rd party for outside support.
- Equipment repairs and , inclusive of light repairs and preventative maintenance inspections to identify and repair or outsource corrective actions.
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures. Outsourcing as needed as directed by the Director of Facilities.
- While observing proper safety practices, working on damaged electrical wiring or equipment when a short or severed wire occurs inclusive of replacement of damaged receptacles, plugs and outlets.
- Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly, light diagnostics for reset and filter replacement as directed.
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as performing routine inspections of emergency lighting, exterior and interior lighting, interior fixtures and walls, roof inspections and parking lot conditions.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Painting interior and exterior surfaces as needed to maintain “like new” appearance.
- Assembly furniture and fixtures as directed.
- Light repair of Tile (Floor and wall) surfaces as needed.
- Coordinating and working with contractors and external vendors to assist and direct in a project or direct supported repair actions when needed.
- Light building projects and repairs inclusive of the use of carpentry tools such as handsaws, miter saws, drills, and hand tools.

PRE-REQs
- Hospitality RESTAURANT MAINTENANCE experience (preferred)
- 18 years of age or older
- Passion for people and hospitality industry
- Awesome, outgoing personality
- Willing to complete MVR check and background screening
- Have a valid driver’s license and insurance
- Strong attention to details
- Able to lift at least 50+ pounds and frequently squat and bend
- Must be able to work weekdays and evenings on occasion
