To clean tile, marble, terrazzo and carpeted floors so that they are very clean and attractive in appearance without any spots and stains.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Using dust mop, thoroughly dust mop the floor area to be cleaned.
1. Strip the floor with cleaning solution to remove all of the old finishes.
2. Seal the floor with two coats of floor sealer.
3. Apply three coats of finish to give the floor a uniform and attractive appearance.
4. Vacuum carpet area to be shampooed.
5. Using a pre-spray chemical, apply it to the various spots and stains in the carpet.
6. Using a shampoo machine, shampoo the carpet until it is clean with an attractive appearance and no visible spots or stains.
7. All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
1. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
2. Must be able to lift in excess of 20 lbs.
3. Must be able to push heavy equipment such as cleaning station supplies, vacuum cleaners, floor stripping equipment, trash cans, water buckets, etc.
4. Must be capable of communicating any problem to immediate supervisor.
5. Prior experience in the specific field to successfully perform the responsibilities of this position.
Education and Experience - Three months of cleaning experience. Must be capable of communicating any problems to immediate supervisor. Must have prior related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
