Carlson Environmental Consultants, PC (CEC) is a fast-growing company and is seeking an Environmental Remediation Technician. The objective of the job is to support our ongoing environmental efforts to help utilities, environmental and other companies. We are looking for a long-term employee in our Southern region to provide support to our existing Environmental Remediation Team, specifically in the Florida area.
We are seeking an individual willing to or already familiar with working around and assisting with VAC truck operations, jetting and camera work in the Utility and Industrial Sector. This position does require travel in the Florida area, manual labor, significant outdoor work, writing and communicating proficiently and effectively, working alone and being able to be a self-starter and motivator. A plus if you a CDL-B license but not a requirement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50lbs
- Wear OSHA Level D and required personal protective equipment and monitoring devices, preferable if you have higher level of OSHA training such as hazmat.
- Input, edit and interpret data collected in field and complete daily activity logs, checklists and forms in Excel, Word and various other online systems
- Miscellaneous errands (equipment and vehicle maintenance and cleaning, equipment inventory, non-routine tasks, etc.)
- Use of and maintenance of Hydro Jetter, vac truck, and camera crawler systems
- Manual labor
- Walk long distances
- Hand and power tool operation
- Travel
Minimum Qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma
- Computer literate
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be eligible to be legally employed in the U.S.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check
Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
- knowledge of hydro jetting and vac truck remediation work.
- College degree, preferably, but not required.
- Experience working outdoors.
