Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for assisting in the supervision and control of the Ace Housekeeping staff on assigned floor and any other needed areas. The Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for the cleanliness, arrangement, and supply of all guest rooms in an assigned section and inspection of the rooms following hotel standards of cleanliness. The Housekeeping Inspector will work on supporting the Operations Team as an Inspector capacity. The Housekeeping Floor Inspector will train and motivate staff to ensure the highest standard of service and presentation. Fill in whenever needed, to ensure the department exceeds all customer service need and work to always provide the highest quality of service to all Guests.
Duties and Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
● Ensure guest satisfaction through room cleanliness and attention to guest’s needs.
● Ability to professionally interact with and resolve guest and employee’s issues.
● Believe and demonstrate the Ace Vision and Mission Statement.
● Responsible for assisting in the supervision and control of the Guest Room Attendants.
● Responsible for the cleanliness, arrangement, and supply of all guest rooms in an assigned section.
● Coach/train current and new employees
● Always provide the highest quality of service to the customer.
● Deal promptly and effectively with guest complaints and requests.
● Inspect guest rooms on a daily basis to ensure standards of cleanliness.
● Promote teamwork and employee morale.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen rooms and Guest Room Attendant’s carts.
● Ensure ready status of all rooms daily.
● Inspect room for maintenance needs and report on maintenance service requests.
● Log rooms cleaned on daily housekeeping report.
● Must wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance.
● Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
● Practice safety standards at all times.
● Employee must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
● Assist in recruiting efforts by screening and interviewing potential candidates
● Reports and follow direction from the Ace - Hotel Supervisor on site
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
· Comfortable with high pace environment
- Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
· Hotel experience a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee: must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, Hotel environment and effectively deal with customers, management, team members and others. Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the Hotel; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
