POSITION: Full-time Custodian/Groundskeeper
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent;
Able to read, understand and follow oral and written directions;
Able to use job-related equipment; Such as lawn cutting & snowplowing equipment
Able to lift, carry and move objects weighing over 20 pounds;
Able to climb ladders, scaffolding, etc.;
Able to work in confined and/or uncomfortable areas; and
Able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations

WORK YEAR: 12 months
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations,
EVALUATOR/S: Primary: Director of Operations
Input: Principal/s and Assistant Principal/s
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Keeps grounds neat and clean at all times.
2. Conducts set-up for all building programs and events, when needed.
5. Maintains a secure building and site.
6. Performs custodil dutioes when assigned
7. Lifts, carries and moves objects weighing over twenty (20) pounds.
8. Climbs ladders, scaffolding and other equipment to complete job-related responsibilities.
9. Works in confined and/or uncomfortable areas, as needed. as well as warm and cold weather.
10. Operates & maintains all district wide equipment
11. Complies with all federal and state laws, and local safety, security, sanitation and other applicable laws and regulations.
12. Notifies the administration immediately of evidence of substance abuse, severe medical or social conditions, potential suicide or individuals appearing to be under the influence of illegal substances.
14. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the health and safety of students, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities.
15. Complies with all contractual duties, Board of Education policies, and administrative procedures.
16. Exhibits ethical behavior and integrity and maintains confidentiality for all school-related responsibilities.
17. Maintains a positive attitude toward job-related growth and development.
18. Develops and maintains positive and active relations and effective communications with students, staff, parents, community members, and community organizations.
19. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/s or Superintendent.
