Job Description: This is a working supervisor position. Supervise the NAS Commissary Janitorial staff for profitability, productivity, and high quality. Develop and maintain a working relationship with the Project Manager, Quality Assurance Evaluator, and Commissary Staff. Conduct business in a highly ethical and respectful manner and oversee satisfactory completion of all requirements of the Performance Work Statement. Supervise all aspects of janitorial staff in performing janitorial tasks as directed by the project manager. Such tasks are performed in office areas, sales floor areas, lobbies, restrooms, locker rooms, warehouse areas, outside, and the meat market prep area. Tasks include but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing. Hard floor care tasks using manual or electrical, battery, or propane powered equipment include auto-scrubbing, buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing.
Responsibilities and duties of this position include but not limited to:
Supervisor Duties

Make daily reports to the Project Manager
Maintain and enforce budget time limits for all janitorial positions.
Exercise continuous process improvement in all performance areas of the contract
Inspect all areas of janitorial work and direct corrective action for discrepancies prior to calling for the QAE inspection.
Perform internal quality control inspections using the CompuClean system.
Walk with the QAE during their janitorial inspections and report results to the project manager.
Meet all minimum standard requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS)
Set and enforce employee production standards in all performance areas.
Regularly measure and evaluate employee productivity. Report findings to the Project Manger
Develop and enforce efficient work schedules for all employees assigned to the janitorial staff.
Assist the project manager in developing the annual periodic task schedule.
Ensure all scheduled periodic tasks are completed on time and the project manager is informed of the results.
Monitor janitorial supply inventory and inform the project manager of supplies needed to prevent out-of-stock situations.
Follow all agency policies and procedures.
Clean and sanitize restrooms.
Clean sinks, countertops, toilets, and bathroom stall walls.
Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common area as necessary.
Empty all trashcans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.
Collect recyclable materials and take them to appropriate area to be sorted.
Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture.
Clean windows and windowsills.
Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
Keep janitorial equipment clean and train staff to operate it properly and safely.
Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times.
Ensure all chemical containers are properly labeled.
Report all equipment repair or maintenance needs to the project manager.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ability train and manage janitorial staff, organize, and maintain floor care schedules. Ability to write and maintain employee schedule and stay within prescribe labor budget. Ability to recognize, report, and rectify items of poor or unacceptable quality. Ability to operate a riding auto scrubber, high-speed burnisher, side-by-side buffer and commercial pressure washer. Ability to function in a military setting. Must pass a Federal background check.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
No specified educational requirements except and ability to read and write the English langue. Prior janitorial supervisory experience is preferred.

COMMISSARY Non-Exempt Supervisor
The non-exempt supervisor position you have applied for is a full-time position. After a thirty-day training/adjustment period, you will be required to maintain a 90% productivity rate. After the adjustment period, you will be monitored daily for productivity.
