Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Parts Cleaner to join our turbine repair shop team. The ideal candidate will specialize in cleaning and preparing parts to ensure the integrity and functionality of turbine components. This role is crucial in maintaining high-quality standards and supporting our mission to deliver top-notch turbine repair services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Parts Cleaning:
- Clean and prepare turbine components for inspection, repair, and NDT processes.
- Utilize various cleaning methods, including chemical baths, ultrasonic cleaning, and manual scrubbing, to remove contaminants such as grease, oil, and dirt.
- NDT Preparation:
- Ensure all parts are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for NDT procedures such as dye penetrant inspection, magnetic particle inspection, and ultrasonic testing.
- Assist NDT technicians by handling parts carefully to avoid damage or contamination.
- Quality Control:
- Perform visual inspections of parts before and after cleaning to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Report any defects or inconsistencies to the supervisor for further evaluation.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Accurately document cleaning processes, inspections, and any issues identified during the cleaning process.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations, adhering to safety and company protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Regularly inspect and maintain cleaning equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Notify the supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or required repairs.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay updated on industry best practices and company policies related to safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in a turbine repair shop or related industrial environment.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures and standards is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict cleaning protocols.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with cleaning equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
