Are you ready to take on an exciting role at VEM, where you'll be at the forefront of maintaining and processing shield components for the semiconductor industry? We are seeking a motivated Shield Clean Technician responsible for operating equipment and performing various processes to clean and restore shield components. This includes everything from inspection to preparing, cleaning, and packaging parts for shipment. You’ll also be involved in minor preventive maintenance to ensure equipment runs smoothly and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer products through defined processes, ensuring they are cleaned, prepared, and packaged to their specifications.
- Prepare parts for processes such as etching, sandblasting, chemical processing, and flame spraying.
- Perform chemical cleaning by soaking parts in specific solutions to remove coatings.
- Learn and apply basic chemistry knowledge related to acids, caustics, and cyanides.
- Maintain detailed records of processing information in written logs or VEM’s ERP system.
- Inspect, clean, package, and prepare products for shipping.
- Follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment as required.
- Identify and report any process problems or quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize safety hazards and comply with audits.
- Ensure compliance with VEM QMS procedures, policies, and documentation requirements.
- Adhere to all EH&S requirements.
Experience and Skills:
- Preferred experience with acids and alkalis in fields such as electro-plating or metal etching.
- Experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with inspection tools is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
