Overview
The Grounds and Custodian Maintenance worker will be responsible for performing quality tasks required to meet both the grounds maintenance and custodial services necessary.
Responsibilities
- Perform grounds maintenance duties per contract schedule, requirements and standards to include:
- Mow all improved grounds to look well-manicured.
- Edge sidewalks, driveways, street edges, curbs and other hard surfaced areas located within the improved grounds.
- Trim areas not accessible to mowers
- Remove debris to include general litter patrol and natural debris.
- police grounds in order to maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Maintain desert landscape in a clean and neat manner.
- Provide weed control.
- Take direction, interact and maintain open communication with supervisor, cooperate with supervisors, subordinates, and co-workers.
- Accept and implement special projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Must have knowledge using tools, machines to complete projects; Weed eaters, edger’s, hedgers, Chain saws, blowers.
- Clean restrooms, sweep, and wet mop all tile floors.
- Clean entrance ways windows (interior and exterior) and building windows, clean office glass as needed.
- Empty trash and replace liner in all trash cans.
- Dust all areas as needed.
- Outdoor litter pickup.
- Perform high dusting monthly to include all window blinds, dust all areas as needed.
- Replace all paper and soap products in restrooms, replace deodorizers and batteries as needed.
- Vacuum all carpet areas.
- All other cleaning duties as assigned.
- Assist public when necessary.
- Maintain floors regularly.
- Perform advanced floor maintenance as required.
- Maintain a clean facility.
- Maintain restrooms.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and operable manner.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education. Willingness to learn tasks necessary for building custodial & grounds work.
Licenses/Certification. Valid Driver’s License.
Other (e.g., post-offer drug screen, background check, driver’s license record, etc.). Employee’s must undergo a driver’s license record check; employees must pass a background check.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:
- Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding clients and employees of Tresco.
- Familiar with and follow all policies and procedures of Tresco.
- Follow universal precautions and all work practice controls established by OSHA and Tresco’s Exposure Control Plan.
- Participate in staff development trainings as assigned.
- Project friendly and helpful attitude.
- Responsible for maintaining safe working environment.
Rate of Pay: $15.50
Pay Range: OP-1
Hours: Vary -PT
