Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Porter/Maintenance professional to join our team. As a Porter/Maintenance, you will be responsible for cleaning projects requiring advanced training and demonstrated skill. Inspects work performed in assigned building/property(s) and submits reports to the Supervisor. Positions may be indoors to maintain the interior of the community, outdoors to maintain the exterior, or a mixture of both.
Responsibilities:
As a Porter your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining common areas, assisting residents with various requests, and supporting the property management team to ensure a pristine and welcoming environment for all residents and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleanliness and Maintenance:
- Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairways, fitness centers, and recreational areas.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as pressure washing, and trash removal.
- Ensure all public restrooms are clean, stocked, and in proper working order.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and functions held in common areas.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to residents and guests, addressing their needs and requests promptly.
- Assist with any maintenance or repair needs of the property.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards or security concerns to management.
- Work closely with the property management and maintenance teams to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation.
- Provide support during emergencies and other critical situations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury residential or hospitality setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures;
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time;
- Crawl in small and tight spaces; Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain);
- Walk and climb stairs; Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment;
- Reach with hands and arms;
- Ability quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions;
- Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers;
- Complete all required forms.
- Ability to respond to emergencies on a timely manner.
- Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3 ft).
