Business Unit Description:
8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm.
Responsibilities:
Key Results Areas: The successful candidate, who reports to the Sanitation Supervisor, will be able to observe and learn the process quickly while being proactive and identifying areas that need improvement to insure the product meets specs as well as deadlines for production runs.

FoodSafety Production Areas
- Notify Supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are
- Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production
- Perform all duties necessary to meet American Institute of Baking (AIB), Company, and or Government requirements / standards as prioritized by the
- Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified
- Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety
- Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety
- Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been
- Inform Management of ANY Food Safety or Quality issues or of any processes, which become noncompliant with specified
Working Relationship:
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with department, company, and experience in a team-oriented environment is required.
Physical Demands:
- Pushing and pulling on occasion
- Bending and stooping on occasion
- Periodic lifting of up to 25 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Responsible and Proactive employee
- Responsible for meeting requirements for sanitation in assigned departments
- Proactive in regard to finding areas that need special attention and bringing those to the attention of management.
- Able to help maintain the daily checklist of sanitation supplies
- Willingness to take on extra tasks or assignments and complete them when assigned.
- Must have the ability to correctly add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Shift hours may vary, but must be available to work every other weekend (5-6 Days / Week)
- Less than 6 occurrences in previous 12 months.
- No more than 2 corrective actions in previous 12 months.
- Must be current American Blanching Employee/Golden Boy Foods employee (No Labor Finders Employees will be considered)
- Must have been in current position for a minimum of 6 months.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience in Sanitation
- Basic understanding of chemicals and the ability to read and understand SDS’s.
