Compounders prepare batches of cosmetic products for production processing according to specifications and established procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Prepare batches of bulk product as defined in the Master Batch Record
- Complete paperwork related to the manufacture of batches according to both SOP's and cGMP's.
- Clean equipment and facilities as defined in company SOP's and cGMP's. Maintain cleaning records.
- Learn proper cleaning, sanitizing, assembly, and operation of equipment.
- Assist in developing operational and cleaning procedures for new equipment.
- Compound extremely complex batches of the product as defined in the Manufacturing Batch Record and by procedures in company SOP.
- Assist in the development of new formulations as required by R&D and the Compounding Supervisor.
- Understand and comply with all Radical Cosmetics, environmental, and quality practices and procedures as outlined in organizational/departmental guidelines and SOPs as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ability to be a leader in the Safety culture in his/her department.
- Clean and maintain work areas organized and neat.
- Perform other manufacturing and clerical duties such as data entry or any other duties that may be assigned by management.
- Ability to stay on your feet for the entire shift.
- Organize and maintain supplies.
- Accurately blend the product in amount sequence and timing as shown in written instructions
- Apply labels to containers as required to identify products/blends after completing the order.
- Operates hand jacks and all other associated equipment.
- Follows GMP regulations.
- Weighs and mixes materials.
- Completes paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred but not required, previous knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)
- Able to carry out mathematical calculations accurately.
- Fast learning and multi-task skills
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, honest, and able to prioritize.
- Willing to Learn and Grow, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
- Reliable and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Flexible and Open-minded
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Detail-oriented/capable of maintaining clear and concise records.
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
