Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a customer‐facing position that is typically the initial point of contact for a customer wishing to buy from Geary Pacific. The position requires specialized Product Knowledge, use of the company computer system (Mincron), ability to use Microsoft Office products like Excel and to research information on web sites supported by Geary Pacific suppliers. The position requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi‐task because of the need to service customers that are physically present and on the telephone.
Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound and outbound calls and write sales orders, including price quotes, bids, RTS, and warranty credits
- Manage backorders, open orders, and pending orders
- Reconcile cash drawer and set up new customer accounts
- Perform showroom product management/merchandising, order picking, stocking, cleaning, organizing, and labeling
- Perform cycle counts and manage delivered orders
- Assist warehouse with receiving and deliveries and run company errands as needed
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service (both over the phone and in-person) (Required)
- Previous experience in an industry related to the following is required: Distribution, construction, HVAC, contracting, roofing, etc.
- High School diploma/GED (Required)
- Driver’s license with insurance and reliable transportation (Required)
- Proficient with the use of PC, iPad, smartphone, web-based online ordering, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Must be able to learn company-supplied software like CRM tools (SMP) & ERP (Mincron)
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to problem solve for customers
- Must be a team player
