The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Elder Services is dedicated to providing exceptional support and care for our elderly tribal members. We are looking for a compassionate and diligent Housekeeper to join our team and help maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living environments for our elders. This would be to clean 3 to 4 homes a day and also assist in the Senior Center as-needed.
Typically the work schedule is Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch.
Note that Elder Services does run the community hurricane shelter for the Seminole Tribe so it is required to be able to work the shelters overnight for the duration of the storm.
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting elderly Seminole Tribal Members by performing light housekeeping activities. The individual is responsible for cleaning, mopping and tidying rooms and living quarters, washing laundry, and other related activities. Ensures that elderly living facilities are maintained clean on a daily basis, and to the satisfaction of the client; assists them with any other housekeeping tasks, as necessary.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent GED is preferred. Prior experience as a housekeeper/ homemaker is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent must be reliable and be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
