Flight Power Repair Group, LLC. is a privately held corporation headquartered in Doral, Florida specializing in providing MRO solutions for the aerospace and industrial markets. We specialize in the repair and overhaul of commercial jet engine components for CFMI CFM56-ALL Series, GE CF6-80C, CF34-ALL Series, Rolls Royce RB211 and Pratt & Whitney PW4000. We also offer repair and overhaul services for industrial turbine components on the Pratt & Whitney GG4/FT4, and GG8/FT8 aero-derivative gas turbines. In addition, Flight Power Repair Group provides a wide range of specialized services for engines, aircraft and landing gear applications which include; Vacuum Heat Treat, Solution and Precipitation Heat Treat, Stress Relief, Shotpeening, Plasma Spray, Cleaning, Ultrasonic Inspection, FPI & FMPI, Welding, Machining, protective coating applications.
SUMMARY: Engine parts cleaners are responsible for cleaning the piece parts that route throughout the shop. Cleaners are to remove grease build-up, corrosion products, etc., as well as prepare parts for the next overhaul step using various cleaning compounds and chemical solutions as per OEM Instructions. The operator will also be using blasting equipment to prepare and clean a variety of surfaces by removing scale, paint, rust for the preparation of protective coatings and Inspection review in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the Aviation Authority as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
General:
- Inspect part for condition prior to starting work
- Verify Part Number and Serial number (if applicable)
- Review for proper stamp-offs prior to commencement of work.
- Read and interpret process specifications in traveler.
- Verify masking of specified areas to protect from abrading.
- Clean/Blast areas to be cleaned or abraded
- Clean parts chemically or manually as per instructions on traveler.
- Monitor and maintain tank temperatures as required.
- Move between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.
- Scan in and out of operation as required
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and observe and follow all safety procedures reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Responsible to be thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment used within their assigned area of responsibility.
- Perform chemical additions to maintain performance specs.
- Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record, router.
- Perform visual inspections and make necessary adjustment to conform to job specifications
- Daily inspection, Cleaning and Preventative maintenance of all equipment
- Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
QUALIFICIATIONS:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Exhibit a strong work ethic that includes a good attendance record.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include weekends, and overtime
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire
