We are looking for a seasonal Sanitation Technician I to be responsible for executing all sanitation and janitorial related duties and other various general labor tasks as assigned under direct supervision of the responsible department Supervisor or Sanitation Lead. This role will be responsible for conforming to all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at our TomaTek plant in Firebaugh, CA. This is a seasonal, union position, supporting our fresh pack season, typically June – October.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing duties as assigned which include but are not limited to: general plant, process machinery, facility buildings, employee facilities, and grounds cleaning and sanitation.
- Assists operators and/or leads in performing sanitation cleaning in all departments.
- Confirms that all containers, chemical sprayers, etc. that are about to be used are properly labeled with the correct product.
- Only uses chemicals he/she has been trained and approved to use and understands the use and location of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Requirements:
- Requires understanding of production process flow.
- Requires excellent attendance record and reliability.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to perform essential duties.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended hours, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.
Compensation:
The hourly union wage is $16, with a 2nd shift differential of $.25 and a 3rd shift differential of $.50, based on experience and qualifications.
