Overview:
We have a 19 unit hotel in Dilley with an apartment attached to the front desk. We are looking for someone with front desk and cleaning experience at a local hotel in Dilley who can support guests at the front desk and do cleaning 1-2 days per week in exchange for living in the apartment full-time with utilities included. We already have a Manager/Lead Cleaner who does cleaning and management 5 days a week as well as a reservation team who takes all the phone calls and guest messages, but sometimes prospective guests come in wanting to speak to someone in person or needing something at their room when the Manager is not present. There is not enough work for a full-time position, but we want someone who will be around and available.
We're looking for someone local who is well-connected to the oil companies and local businesses who can help bring in recurring business guests. This person should also have computer skills to be able to make reservations and cleaning skills to turn the rooms when our lead manager/cleaner is not working. Maintenance skills are a plus.
The rooms are 220 sq ft and can be turned within 30 minutes. Making the bed, picking up trash, cleaning the bathroom, laundry, restocking. Checkout is 11am, checkin is 3pm. We have commercial grade laundry machines, shelving, fast wifi, good technology.
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk/Housekeeping professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in front desk, cleaning, and laundering services, preferably within a hotel setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform reservation tasks such as new reservations, extensions, cancellations
- Contact business guests and local companies to secure long-term/recurring guests
- Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility
- Manage laundry operations including washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens
- Ensure all rooms are well-maintained and stocked with necessary supplies
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional service to guests
- Adhere to health and safety standards at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in front desk, housekeeping, laundry, or similar roles preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
