The Janitor will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building including common areas and licensed areas requiring a MED badge. This person will support the overall cleanliness of the facility and parking lot with a focus on production areas.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain a clean environment up to GDL standards
- Perform detailed cleaning and disinfecting of production areas, restrooms breakroom and office areas
- Sweep, mop and vacuum daily to ensure all floors are clean and cleared of debris
- Ensure all areas are dusted, wiped down and cleaned daily
- Empty trash receptables and replace liners
- Clean windows, mirrors and glass surfaces
- Deep cleaning of assigned areas as needed
- Groundskeeping and snow removal as required
- Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete needed tasks
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning, maintenance supplies and equipment
- Maintain stock check on all cleaning supplies and toiletries and report reorder need
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisor
- Complete all tasks assigned by manager
- Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines
- Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Maintain all facility compliance documentation related to cleaning functions
- Basic understanding of environmental systems assist in support and troubleshooting of systems
- Handle the installation and repair of fixtures, ensuring functionality and reliability
- Ensure Safety Data Sheets are printed and placed in SDS binders when new cleaning products are brought onsite

Work Environment:
- Standard 40-hour work week applies
- May require working holidays and overtime to ensure facility cleanliness needs are met
- Working hours will be spent in the lab, warehouse/basement and office
- Maybe required to use PPE where applicable
- Moderate physical activity such as walking and lifting is required daily
- Able to lift at least 40 pounds, able to stand for long periods of time, able to bend, push, pull and reach, ability to use stairs
Education, Experience, & Other Requirements:
- Highschool degree or equivalent is preferred
- Must have and maintain current MED Badge
- Must have reliable form of transportation
- Valid drivers license
