Dishwasher/Utility Help - 40 hour - Rotating Schedule
*Must be available weekends*
1. Operates, cleans, and monitors dish machine, dismantling tables, conveyor belts. Must replenish soaps or lubricating aids as needed.
2. Performs tray dismantling, silverware sorting, stock replenishing. Must keep sufficient levels of trays, china, and silverware at all times.
3. Assists in receiving of goods and storage of goods, adhering to established policies and procedures for receiving and storage of such goods.
4. Operates trash disposal, empties trash dumpster when full.
5. Cleans pots, pans, and utensils, adhering to proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures in compliance with established city, state codes and accreditation agencies.
6. Sweeps and mops floors. Must maintain cleanliness of floors at all times. Must respond immediately to unscheduled spills, etc.
7. Maintains beverage stations which include keeping milk/cream dispensers, soda machines, and coffee urns sufficiently stocked and cleaned at all times.
8. Assists in maintenance of two dining rooms which includes cleaning, sanitizing, and orderliness of all tables and chairs, cutlery stations, condiment stations, supply truck, and tray return area. Also must maintain sufficient amounts of napkins, dressings, condiments, plastic ware, straws, stirrers, etc.
- Work requires reading of task lists, instructions for equipment cleaning and sanitation, and production sheets and reading temperature gauges.
2. Work requires level of knowledge of basic operation and cleaning procedures of dish machine, trash compactor, soap dispensers high-pressured hose, garbage disposal, elevator, coffee urn, juice dispensers, soda dispensers, milk monitors, and conveyor belts, (pots and pans cleaning) provided through training program lasting up to three months.
3. Must be able to monitor and record certain inventory levels and temperature of certain equipment.
4. Must be able to assess certain situations of operation that must be corrected or reported to supervisor such as malfunctioning equipment, potential safety hazards, detergent/sanitation agent usage, trash disposal, and customer assistance.
5. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with fellow employees (80%), assisting each other; cooks (10%), cleaning instructions; and customers (10%), for assistance and information.
Work requires prolonged walking and standing (over 80% of work time). Frequently lifts trash-filled bags, boxes of canned goods, frozen goods, produce (20% of the work time). Occasionally (20% of work time) pulls or pushes heavy trash or flat bed truck loaded with canned goods/frozen food, or produce. Exposed to heat (75% of working time) in dishroom and pots and pans area. Exposed to noise (75%) in dishroom and kitchen area.
