The Osher Marin Jewish Community Center (the "JCC") is seeking a full-time Housekeeping Manager who will report directly to the Director of Facilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the Center, contributing to a welcoming and hygienic environment for all members and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Training and Supervision: Assist in the training, scheduling, and supervision of housekeeping personnel. Ensure all staff are proficient in the Center’s hygienic systems and standards.
- Operational Duties: Perform housekeeping tasks and provide comprehensive training to Center staff on cleaning and maintenance procedures.
- Staff Management: Manage daily and scheduled assignments for housekeeping staff, ensuring coverage and efficiency.
- Facility Goals: Collaborate with the Director of Facilities and other staff to review, update, and maintain cleanliness goals for the facility.
- Coordination with Departments: Liaison with other departments to coordinate opening and closing procedures, ensuring seamless operations.
- Vendor Scheduling: Assist in scheduling and managing outside vendors for building maintenance and cleanliness.
- Weekend Supervision: Occasionally work weekends to supervise housekeeping during special events or peak times.
- Manager on Duty (MOD): Act as MOD as required, taking responsibility for overall facility management during assigned shifts.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely reordering and maintenance.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met and address any deficiencies promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and train staff on proper safety procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, schedules, and incident reports.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least five years of recent, progressively responsible experience in janitorial operations.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with superior time management skills, capable of setting and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact well with employees, managers, and supervisors.
- Conflict Resolution: Strong conflict resolution skills to handle issues effectively and maintain a positive work environment.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a sense of humor.
- Vendor Relations: Proven success in managing relationships with vendors and contractors.
