Hotel Maintenance Worker
Job responsibilities include: repairing and maintaining the interior and exterior of the hotel while following Company standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety and security.
Other key duties include:
- Perform routine maintenance such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking, Plumbing etc.
- Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, room furniture, fixtures and other items in the hotel
- Perform duties of the company’s preventative maintenance program
- Report major repair needs to the General Manager
- Assist in setup/cleanup of meeting rooms
- Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed, such as collecting/delivering dirty linen to laundry, assisting with laundry or housekeeping as needed
- Collecting trash daily, mopping floors, Vacuuming, cleaning stairwells, and other interior and exterior property areas
- Assist as necessary with special projects and renovations
- Repair and program hotel electronic lock system
- Assist in scheduling preventive maintenance tasks
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of all tools
- Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces
- Comply with federal, state and local laws regarding health, and safety services
Physical Demands:
- Requires ability to stand/walk the entire shift.
- Requires ability to perform light to medium physical labor which includes: lifting, bending, reach, stretching, climbing (ladders), pushing, and pulling.
- Requires ability to communicate orally and in writing with maintenance/hotel staff/guests.
- Requires ability to lift 50+ lbs frequently,
- Walking and Standing: 95%
- Must be able to carry 50 lbs. up to 25 feet.
- Lifting, Push/Pull: 90%
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to the waist, chest, and above the head.
- Ability to push housekeeping or laundry cart regularly.
- Sitting: 5%
- Bending, Stooping, Reaching: 90% (throughout the entire shift).
- Must be able to bend at the knees with up to 50 lbs., standing to an upright position.
