Job Title Beauty Ambassador
Position Objective
The Beauty Ambassadors role is to sell beauty products by determining the customer’s needs and sense of style through active communication and in a consultative manner while upselling.
Position Responsibilities
1. Initiate service consultations to determine the customer’s preferences and buying needs.
2. Develop a repeat customer base and create a relationship in order to communicate upcoming events, new merchandise received and product replenishment to increase incremental sales.
3. Attend product training classes and seminars to enhance knowledge of the brands.
4. Participate in pre-selling and sales driving events as well as processing and receiving of new products, testers, identifying damages and supporting return to vendors (RTVs).
5. Maintain high customer readiness standards by ensuring proper presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock as well as good housekeeping standards.
6. Maintain and follow up of all collateral, display materials and supplies.
7. Support and maintain all corporate/vendor promotional and consumer incentive programs.
8. Monitor stock and report any out of stock items and/or stock needs.
9. Become proficient in POS systems and maintain up to date with any changes.
10. Ensure safety and shortage prevention initiatives are executed.
11. Perform other customer-facing duties as needed.
12. Perform store housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, and cash register operations (POS).
13. Adhere to Custom Regulations, loss prevention and all Company Policy/Procedure standards.
14. Comply with the Fair and Accurate Transaction Act (FACT).
15. Perform various other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements
1. Regular and reliable attendance. Flexibility and ability to work varied hours/days as business needs dictates.
2. Ability to speak and hear effectively with customers, vendors and/or associates of the organization.
3. Ability to read efficiently, perform basic mathematical functions (count, add, subtract, divide & multiply) and write to accurately complete work related documentation.
4. Comprehension of cash handling (denominations of monies to make change).
5. Vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
6. Physical demands include frequently standing for long periods of time; walking; ability to reach above or below shoulders, twist at the waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb and balance.
7. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds.
8. Ability to operate electronic equipment (P.O.S., Credit Card Verification etc.) and use equipment (manual) such as ladder, step stool, objects with wheels, spray bottles and other cleaning equipment necessary to perform job function.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
1. Preferable experience in a retail customer service environment.
2. Cosmetics experience preferred.
3. High School Graduate, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience of more than two years in a retail sales position.
4. Ability to work well under pressure and time restraints.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills, adjust to variety of cultural personalities.
Work Environment
Professional retail sales environment with minimal privacy utilizing standard retail sales/inventory equipment; with a medium to high noise level and with occasional exposure to elements such as dust fumes, noise and odor.
