The Apartment Community Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the apartment community, including common areas, vacant apartments, and community amenities. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for all residents and visitors.
**Key Responsibilities: **
1. **Cleaning and Maintenance: **
- Perform daily cleaning of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, laundry rooms, and recreational areas.
- Clean and prepare vacant apartments for new residents, ensuring they meet the community’s quality standards.
- Assist with the deep cleaning of occupied apartments as needed.
2. **Trash and Recycling: **
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from common areas and designated collection points.
- Ensure trash and recycling areas are clean and organized.
3. **Special Projects: **
- Assist with seasonal cleaning projects, such as window washing, carpet cleaning, and pressure washing exterior surfaces.
- Support maintenance staff with light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
4. **Inventory Management: **
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and notify the Property Manager when supplies need to be replenished.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
5. **Resident Relations: **
- Interact with residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Address and report any resident concerns or complaints to the Property Manager.
6. **Safety and Compliance: **
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding health and safety.
**Qualifications: **
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
