POSITION SUMMARY: Launched in 1989, Thierry Isambert Culinary and Event Design has been creating exceptional dining experiences in South Florida for more than 30 years. This is an hourly maintenance warehouse Technician Position that exists to ensure loads are prepared as specified and on time. The incumbent in this position has proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job and works independently within established procedures associated with specific job functions.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving
§ Receives rentals and other items.
§ Ensures that invoices are cross-checked with the purchase order or rental order.
§ Ensures that delivery personnel signs in the logbook.
§ Ensures the proper items are picked up by rental companies and that they sign the logbook.
Restocking
§ Responsible for restocking items returned to the warehouse after events.
§ Ensures that items are returned to the proper location in the warehouse.
§ Ensures that items are cleaned, wrapped, and properly secured.
§ Ensures that all equipment, décor, utensils, fabrics, and floor plastics are stocked and in good working order.
Deliveries & Pickups
§ Picks up flowers from the florist.
§ Picks up fabrics, dry cleaning, and laundry.
§ Conducts deliveries of food, décor linens, etc.
Event Loading
§ Reviews loading with the warehouse Manager.
§ Ensures everything needed for the event is clean and in working order prior to the event.
§ Reviews the party file for each event to verify that the load is correct.
§ Follows the loading notes for each event.
§ Ensures that the event driver logs in.
Event Return
§ Restocks all sodas, juices, water, and dry goods.
§ Checks for breakage prior to restocking equipment, decor, utensils, and linens.
§ Ensures that rental linens are placed in the proper containers.
Maintenance
§ Handles the maintenance of vehicles including washing, tuneups, and gassing up.
§ Logs all gas receipts in the logbook.
§ Maintains the ice machines and dishwasher.
§ Maintains the scissor lift (ensures the battery has water).
§ Keeps the warehouse clean (mopped and swept, etc.).
§ Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND OR EXPERIENCE:
Required: Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must have 1 to 3 years of related work experience in a warehouse/ inventory work environment. Must have a valid Driver’s license and a good driving record. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Required working hours: 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday). Overtime hours are available during the season as well.
