The primary responsibility of the Janitor is to perform custodial work in offices and industrial areas. Work may involve a variety of physical demands.
- Vacuum and clean carpeting using cleaning solutions, tools, and equipment (including stain removal).
- Clean and maintain tile floors using cleaning solutions, tools, and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize all restroom facilities (and kitchen facilities where applicable) routinely. Keep restrooms (and kitchen facilities where applicable) supplied with towels, soap, and other items as required.
- Empty wastebaskets throughout building routinely. Collect and dispose of trash from buildings and grounds.
- Clean walkways, parking lots, and steps.
- Dust furniture, walls, blinds and other equipment (including light fixtures if needed).
- Clean interior windows and glass.
- Notify supervisor of need to order materials/supplies.
- Assist with shifting furniture/equipment.
- Assist with outside grounds work when assigned. Rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow/ice or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
- Assist with setting up and preparing meeting rooms as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma
Flexible; 3 days/week at 6 hours/day OR 5 days/week at 4-5 hours/day.
