Your Mission:
The Guest Room Attendant will play an important role for maintaining specified standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel guest room areas, as directed. The Guest Room Attendant will be responsible for cleaning hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms and storage areas in the hotel, as directed.
The Nitty-Gritty:
This role will work closely with Assistant Housekeeper/ Assistant Executive Housekeeper to:
- Equipment -- properly and safely use all equipment; report all safety issues when necessary; including carts, vacuums, Swiffer's, etc.
- Maintain proper documentation of all duties accomplished during a working shift, as directed
- Report all safety hazards or maintenance deficiencies for proper handling
- Abide by all security measures
- Greet all guests throughout shift with the proper salutation and pleasant expression
- Performs all duties in a quiet and orderly manner
- Ability maintain guest safety through reporting, anything that is suspicious, personal and guest safety, injuries and reporting
- Able to take direction or instruction from supervisor/other duties as assigned
- Meet quality cleaning standards
- Complete required credits per productivity standards
- Required to utilize HOTSOS program for all requests coded within the program
- Ability to utilize an electronic device to receive and complete requests and effectively communicate with Housekeeping
- Must be physically present at work, in assigned workstation, in order to perform all

Background must-have:
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds of supplies move x amount of cart
- Operate in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of noise. Incumbents are at times subjected to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions are followed
- Quality - standards, Efficiency and maintain productivity measures
- Use all PPE as designed and required for each area assigned
- Communicate with hotel guests, e.g., announcing arrival at door, and comprehending special requests from guests
- Inspect and maintain areas for which responsible
- Use the equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to vacuum, cleaning supplies, and safety equipment
- Effectively and efficiently move around work area
- Physical in nature and requires complete physical mobility in order to effectively and efficiently move around work area
- Clean as directed at an acceptable performance rate
- Minimally communicate and understand, in English, matters of mutual concern such as directions, hazards, or questions
Recommended nice-to-have
- Have at least 6 months of previous experience as a guest room attendant in a resort or similar setting
- Have at least 6 months of customer service or guest experience
- Understanding of PPE and cleaning chemicals
