The Dalmar and Element Hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale, as part of the Wurzak Hotel Group, is looking for future leaders to join our team as a Housekeeping Supervisor to direct the hotel’s Housekeeping staff to assure that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to exacting standards.
The Housekeeping Supervisor will inspect the work of a team of Room Attendants and House Attendants responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of a specific area of the hotel. This position will also train and coach the Housekeeping staff. Housekeeping Supervisors will schedule work to be done daily, collect room and floor status sheets for assigned work areas, monitor each Room Attendant’s daily progress before then inspecting completed rooms to assure that all standards have been met.
General Requirements
Must be able to work all shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day.
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed accuracy, follow through, and work with a minimum supervision.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English.
Must be able to lift, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 50 lbs.
Education and Experience
Six to twelve months of related or equivalent experience is required.
Requires a working knowledge of the housekeeping aspect of services, policies or operations and general knowledge of the hotel.
Requires the ability to operate various computer systems.
