As a Mixing/Blending Operator, you will perform and oversee the cleaning, mixing, and sealing of Ingredient containers, concentrates and syrup batches in the Mixing Department. To ensure quality, food safety/security and integrity of product is maintained in accordance with quality system procedures. To perform all related paperwork and Prism transactions, and to ensure safe practices are maintained.
Function Related Activities and Key Responsibilities
- Mix syrup batches in accordance with mixing instructions and procedures.
- Perform ingredient weight up and set-up for mixing batches.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and records as required.
- Load and scan ingredients into mixing tanks.
- Check for proper filling, seals, or damaged incoming ingredient packages.
- Perform mixing operations and of cleaning equipment via computer entries.
- Perform mixing operations and of cleaning equipment via computer entries.
- Perform ingredients and concentrate cycle counts.
- Rework product as required.
- Wash equipment between flavors and clean & sanitize equipment.
- Safely and effectively operate and inspect Forklift.
- Comply with all Food Safety/Security policies and procedures.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and all Safety Policies and Procedures
- Unloading HFCS, Phosphoric Acid and Caramel from rail cars
- Oversee ingredient inventory process. May include transporting of product from one area to another.
- Perform all other position-related duties as assigned.
Education and Additional Requirements
High School Diploma, General Education
Minimum 1 year mixing, blending, compounding experience.
Functional Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and procedures. Visual ability to monitor and detect equipment problems on a production line.
- Ability to move at least 65 lbs. a distance of 5ft or better.
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive motions for extended periods (2 hours). Ability to manipulate small objects.
