Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Languages: English/Spanish (Read & Write).
Job Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in Restaurant Operations, equipment, processes, and procedures. Can rely upon experience to make sound judgments and accomplish goals
General:
Good Written and Verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work various projects simultaneously and prioritize the most critical, wide degree of creativity and flexibility
Advanced understanding of all restaurant equipment
A proven track record of cleaning and maintaining restaurant equipment
Strong skills in maintaining/operating a budget
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to coach, train and motivate employees
Ability to schedule, document and track visits, machines and equipment while maintaining and updating a logbook with the equipment history of preventive and emergency maintenance.
Willingness to update knowledge, be trained and transfer the acquire skills and information to the store personnel and leaders as needed
Overview
The position will have the overall responsibility for overseeing, developing and executing the preventive maintenance program of the facility and equipment for his/her assigned area.
The Restaurant Maintenance Representative will perform, oversee, and train the restaurant personnel on cleaning processes and proper equipment care and maintenance. The Restaurant Maintenance Representative be energetic, have a hands-on approach and be skillful with the routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning of equipment and with the restaurant processes and procedures.
Must have people skills, be a good communicator and have an internal customer service approach.
This position requires a sense of urgency, ability to prioritize, eventually delegate and follow-up. Has to have time and schedule flexibility and understand the availability on different days (including weekends) and schedules (including nights will be required.
The Restaurant Maintenance Representative should drive restaurant excellence by building positive and effective relationships through mutual trust and respect.
In addition, this role is to uphold the standards and reputation of the Campero brand while enhancing restaurant personnel and guest satisfaction as well as working towards a profitable operation.
Description of Activities
Financial
Managing inventory and controlling of assigned budget when it comes to parts needed for repairs keeping financial goals and business growth plans on the loop.
Accountable for the optimization of his/her time management.
Having an effective communication and managing costs by keeping GMs involved in decisions on repair.
Utilizing knowledge of contracts, pricing and operations to coach and drive performance
Evaluating situations and identifying roadblocks to cleanliness and profitability; communicating appropriate action for solving issues
Providing weekly costs on all purchases
Operations
Executing a timely and effective preventive maintenance program (while keeping logs) of all equipment in his/her assigned area
Ensuring that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and clear communication of findings to restaurant leadership team
Human Resources
Communicates with respect with GMs and personnel at each location.
Ensures a safe working environment to reduce the risk of injury or accidents
Serves as an effective communication link between restaurant personnel and Area Manager
Guest Services
Ensures a safe customer environment to reduce the risk of injury or accidents
Additional Responsibilities
In charge of Cook Certifications (1) per location
Store opening maintenance labors
Assisting in creating a vendor schedule for services
Assisting in creating a vendor call list for each restaurant repair
Providing a work summary sheet at each location daily and keep a copy
Setting up a cleaning schedule; including parking lots, A/C filters and equipment cleaning routines
Be the expert on proper usage of chemicals in the restaurant
