Position Summary
The Housekeeper maintains the cleanliness of our residential property. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push a moderate weight in a fast paced environment. Work well with the team.

- Priorities In This Position: Daily routine cleaning of all areas assigned by Supervisor; Deliver, store, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies; Maintain organized storage rooms and supplies. Conduct project cleaning schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning, as directed, including but not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors, using vacuum cleaners. Use ladders to dust and wash walls, clean ceilings and dust and polish light fixtures.
- Wash and replace blinds.
- Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.
- Remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
- Clean hallways and common floor areas, including elevators.
- Clean all public spaces and administrative office areas.
- Monitor common area for debris; assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
- Deliver linen and supplies to all storage rooms.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas.
- Remove trash from public receptacles.
- Perform any general cleaning duties as needed.
- Report maintenance problems to Housekeeping Supervisor and any suspicious activities to security.
- In addition to the above, other job duties as needed, required, or assigned, within the scope of your background, experience, and skills.
- Knowledge – Skills – Abilities ( KSAs ) Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, including, but not limited to, strip & wax techniques and stain removal. Knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment or machinery, including, but not limited to, steam cleaners and floor polishers.
- Ability to make minor repairs as needed.
- Ability to perform multi-task assignments and achieve desired results.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial cleaning or same position, as a professional housekeeper for an apartment community or property.
- Spanish is required.
- Attention to detail is a MUST.
- Experience with inventory and supplies control.
- Must be able to work independently -- most of your workday will be working alone.
- Have a team-effort mentality -- you are an important part of the team and its success.
- Extremely reliable -- this is not a position which your personal life prevents you from being on time, all the time, every time.
- Must be able to climb short ladders and step-stools.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize, and, set your own pace to complete your work.
Environment residential public spaces. Position is “ non-exempt status “ and hourly. This position reports to Housekeeping Supervisor.
- 401K with company contribution. Work clothes provided (after 90 days).
- Compensation based on experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
