Job Description - Car Wash Shift Lead
Wash Fox is a premier, locally owned, express tunnel car wash operator in the Denver Metro area with an intense customer service orientation and unwavering emphasis on teamwork.
They have two state-of-the-art car washes one in Commerce City, Colorado and a second site in Thornton, Colorado. These car washes utilize fully automated washing and drying equipment and free arch-style vacuums. Cutting edge license plate readers process Unlimited Wash Club members through our automated pay stations. 5,000 square feet of solar panels, a sophisticated water reclaim system and extensive use of energy saving VFDs make our car washes some of the most energy efficient in the industry.
They are currently seeking a Shift Leads to help manage teams and assist assistant site managers at both of our two locations. Opportunities are available at both Thornton and Commerce City. They are seeking candidates who want to learn and grow into Assistant Site Managers, as there is much opportunity for advancement.
Requirements:

- Ability to follow instructions, complete tasks and communicate when problems arise
- Experience in an entrepreneurial retail environment (i.e., limited corporate support)
- Ability to accommodate variability in work weeks, with an average of approximately 45 hours per week
- Must have the ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds without injuring yourself, and to work in hot, cold, wet and windy weather
- Previous customer service and dispute resolution experience
- Eagerness to learn our POS system, how to maintain our Unlimited Wash Club membership database
- Curiosity about how equipment works
- A valid driver’s license
- Availability to work weekends
Responsibilities:
Working with the Assistant Site Managers on all aspects of the day to day operations of the site. They will provide strong, specific direction for daily & weekly tasks and will provide constant hands-on training. Great candidates will like to learn and be comfortable communicating. You will learn how to, and take on responsibility for:
- Training staff
- Scheduling staff and adjusting throughout the week
- Monitoring inventory of all supplies
- Update the Unlimited Wash Club membership database and individual customer accounts
- Make sure daily, weekly, and monthly checklists are being completed
- Interacting with customers to handle basic issues and hand off disputes to the Site Managers.
- Creating a safe environment for both the staff and the customers
- Observing and assessing (after much training) the wash equipment
- Selling wash club memberships and maintaining a high level of customer service
- Maintaining the appearance of the grounds and facilities, including the office, wash tunnel, vacuum area, pay station areas and parking lot
- Communicating all issues, customer complaints, resource needs
