Job Title: Custodial/Janitor Associate
Department: Facilities/Maintenance
Organizational Relationship: Reports directly to the Facilities Manager
Job Type: Full Time
Shift: 1st shift; Monday-Friday
Job Overview: responsible for maintaining a cleanly facility by completing a variety of custodial tasks; including but no limited to, mopping and vacuuming floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant, taking out trash, and more.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
· Blow off parking lots, walkways, warehouse, loading docks once a week; or more often when needed
· Vacuum office floors and mop office floors in both buildings
· Dust off any pictures and remove any webs from ceilings and corners inside and outside both buildings
· Clean and vacuum all sets of stairs including underneath the staircases
· Clean and vacuum all conference rooms in both buildings and remove any trash
· Wipe down all conference tables and chairs in both buildings
· Clean all bathrooms in both buildings daily (front office bathrooms in building 15 can be cleaned once a week. Second floor bathroom in building 15 can be cleaned once a month)
· Take out trash every night
· Empty refrigerators every Friday night
· Wipe down and sanitize all countertops and surfaces in break areas of both buildings
· Dust for webs outside eaves, windows, light fixtures, entry ways, overhead doors, etc.
· Dust off engineering machines in engineering office (i.e.: 3d printers) and mop floors
· Pick up any trash that may be on the ground inside or outside
· Clean Development Bay every Monday
· Wash all windows, doors, glass walls, and baseboards in both buildings
· Sweep and mop building 15 break room once a week unless needed more frequently
· Replace empty bathroom air fresheners when needed, check this once a week
· Replace bathroom toilet paper, paper towels and soap, when required
Job Requirements:
· Can read and write in English
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, etc., and lift up to 50lbs
· Ability to work with little supervision and/or in a team
· Attention to detail
· Able to meet deadlines
· Ability to work in extreme heat when required
· Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems (including relevant tools and equipment) is a plus
· Strong math skills
· Proficient in using computers/tablets
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of proven experience in working as a Janitor/Custodian associate or related position.
